Sloeberry Farm

We had a fantastic time here with our three children, they loved every moment running through the meadows, collecting chicken eggs or playing hide and seek in the long grass, it was magical, if your considering going here, do it!

Sat here right now in front of a roaring campfire. Don't tell anyone - I want to keep this place all for ourselves!

Liked: Great tent, great location, great people, great setup. Great facilities, best and hottest showers ever used on a camp site.

Disliked: No dislikes at all ”

Stayed here with four friends over Bank Holiday weekend. Absolutely loved the accommodation and surrounding farm. Shaun was present if needed but there was plenty of privacy. Lovely outdoor space to enjoy the sunshine. Near to lovely beaches. Accommodation was spotless. Would absolutely recommend and hope to visit again sometime.”

“Thank you so much for our lovely stay at sloeberry farm. Such a beautiful location and really great lodge. We will be back next year for some more exploring of the Welsh coast and beacon national park. Amazing stay ! Myself and 4 friends had an amazing stay at sloeberry farm, staying in badger lodge, just like the pictures, really cosy but with lots of space (great for some glam camping) Shaun was a perfect host, easy to contact and very helpful! The location is ideal, we had a car and everything was within a 10 - 20 min drive. The cardigan dolphin watching is worth checking out as we saw bottle nosed dolphins and seals 😊👌 It is also really worth the drive about 1hr 30 mins to the beacon national park ( beautiful waterfalls and walks) We will all be turning next year for some more exploring of the welsh coast

“Beautiful setting, lots of places to visit from here. The host family were lovely and helpful, making our stay a pleasure. Loved the donkey's chickens and watching the nesting birds and also saw a toad outside the front door. We all had a FAB and relaxing time.”

We stayed at Shaun's place last weekend whilst attending a wedding in Cardigan. The place was just as expected and was perfect for our weekend. Shaun's communication leading up to our stay was fantastic and the directions provided to find the property were absolutely spot on. We'd highly recommend the property for a weekend break!

“I really enjoyed my week long stay. The location is very handy - a short drive from Aberporth and Cardigan and within easy access of all that south west Wales has to offer. My four year old really enjoyed pottering about the grounds and got to experience some pretty wild-life and feed the chickens with Shaun and his wife. It's a great place to get away from it all. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

We received a very warm welcome from our hosts who introduced us to the site and the facilities available to us. The bell tent was clean and comfortable and so well equipped. The site is perfectly located for coastal walks, enjoying the local beaches and towns.

This is an amazing property that is set in beautiful surroundings. It was so quiet, just to sounds of birds and the occasional donkey! There were 6 of us in the house so the bedrooms worked out great, everything was clean and there was plenty of room for cooking and spending time together. The outdoor space was great and Shaun provided us with a bbq and firepit which was really helpful. You can buy wood and kindling on site which is really helpful too. We would say the best part of the trip was Shaun and how helpful he was in telling us about local things to do and places to go. On his recommendations we had an amazing day on Aberporth beach, watched the sunset in Mwnt whilst dolphin watching and had a fantastic afternoon at a wonderful pizza place in Cardigan on the river. All suggested by Shaun and all made our trip one to remember so thank you!

“Amazing lodge that instantly feels like home! Kids loved it and where instantly role playing family games in the lodge and surrounding fields, a place where the imagination can run wild and legs too. Myself and wife sat on the veranda in the evenings and talked about buying a lodge ourselves, moving down the road from Shaun and Jo, and leaving it all behind! ”

- Hardey May 17

“Brilliant site with everything u need for the perfect camping weekend. A fantm mmmm astic find, in the middle of beautiful countryside and set within a lovely farm perfect for young children to have a run around and play with the animals. Shaun + Jo are great hosts and are happy to answer any questions. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking to get away from it all. No phone signal or wifi so be prepared for a much needed digital detox!

Hi .. just wanted to say a big massive thank you for a fantastic weekend at the glodge....we had an amazing time and the glodge was was perfect and couldn't fault it. Will definitely be coming back and recommend it xx

- Victorine May 17

Shaun's place is a great find. It was perfect for our family get-together. The house is spacious, well-equipped and very clean. There was plenty of room outside for the children to run about and the resident donkeys were a fun addition to the week. Local beaches are fantastic (Mwnt was our favourite) and there's a supermarket in nearby Cardigan. I would recommend Sloeberry Farm to anyone, particularly those with children. ”

Loved the location, site, field, facilities, & family. There is nothing not to like about Sloeberry Farm it is idyllic & one of those gems you stumble across from time to time. We had never glamped before but we feel we couldn't have picked a better place to do it. It's only a few miles from lots of stunning locations. The beaches near by are superb. Really can not fault the place in any way. We loved it & would love to return one day!!!

Warm cosy bed, super clean shower and toilets. Peaceful remote location ideal to just relax and not so far away from local amenities. Owners were on hand on arrival told you everything you needed to know then left us to it which was great! But did let us know where they would be if we needed anything! Great little weekend away will definitely be coming back soon! We’ll be coming back to explore more of Cardigan

After a terrible journey and a later than planned arrival, Shaun & Jo couldn't have been more accommodating. Shaun showed us to the tent and explained everything in it.

There is plenty of space between the tents, so everyone has more than enough privacy. The showers and toilets are great! It was great to wake up to a warm shower.

I can't recommend Sloeberry farm enough!! Shaun and Jo couldn't have been more helpful. They went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and even helped me to organise a surprise birthday BBQ for my friend. I cannot wait to visit next time, as there is so much more to see and do in the area. The new cabins look incredible.

Thank you for the brilliant stay

Just wanted to say thank you both for our stay the lodge is fantastic. It's definitely something outside the box of 'glamping' and we have recommended it to our family and friends. We had everything we needed and more and the place was so clean and cosy. It was just the break we needed and our 5 year old absolutely loved it. The lodge had a great part of land out front that was private but great to keep an eye on our son but let him explore also. Great location as well with tonnes to do around the local area. Hoping to come again next year....

- Claudia Owl Lodge May 18

Planning a glamping site may seem simple at first – buy some accommodation, fill it with the most luxurious items you can find and install some plush facilities – but the reality of blending these comforts with the back-to-nature camping ethos is easier said than done. How refreshing it is, then, to find a site as subtlety sublime as Sloeberry Farm in West Wales – a place where glamping is done right.

Hi Shaun and Jo, just wanted to say thanks so much for a lovely weekend, we had a great time despite the weather.. beautiful location, great setting, fab bell tents.. brilliant info on places to go, pizza Tipi is amazing and we loved Poppit Sands too.. thanks again.. meant to text last night, but we were out for dinner for Jays 40th..

“We've just finished a weeks stay at The Dairy Cottage at the farm and we've had a fantastic stay. There were seven of us including a 14yr old and a 7yr old. The cottage was just great and we're so glad we booked it. It was very comfortable, it had everything we could have needed including wifi, TV/DVD and that great log burning fire and spacious kitchen. We loved it. The location is great and just a short drive to several pretty beaches and to Cardigan. Thanks so much to Shaun and Jo, it has been a lovely and memorable week for our family.

- David Aug 17

Where to start? We liked the fire pit, ready made beds with duvets, quiet location. Kids were delighted! Fab countryside and lovely beaches nearby. Clean, proper toilets. Friendly owners who met us as we arrived with maps and local info

- Karen Aug 16

Fantastic week in the Bell Tents. Superb facilities. Usually camp but tried glamping this year and was a huge improvement. Really great location for exploring the area. Different beach every day. Shaun and Jo are the perfect hosts. Comes much recommend.

“We enjoyed staying at the Coach House as it was in a lovely setting, and was very comfortable, clean and well equipped; also a great location for getting to the sea. We hope to go back next year.”

““Sloeberry Farm is a wonderful place i would totally recommend a stay, great value and perfect hosts.  My sister and I would like to thank you so much for a great week at Sloeberry Farm we had a wonderful if wet week re-visiting all our childhood beaches & found some new beautiful coves. We had a great warm welcome & many thanks for the eggs.

“A group of friends and I stayed at Shaun's for a weekend and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The house is charming and comfortable and the countryside around is truly gorgeous. Shaun was a fantastic host and very patient with us when we got lost finding the property. Would highly recommend"

“Excellent accommodation situated in a cosy, rural corner of wales. We loved the accommodation and the friendly welcome from Shaun. More than an enough room for the 4 of us and would easily accommodate a larger party as well with good facilities"

- Mathew Sept 17

Stable cottage is amazing. It has everything you could need. The farm is great, wide open space, perfect for kids. This is one place I would highly recommend. We didn’t have much interaction with Shaun but it wasn’t needed as Shaun provided comprehensive information before arrival. He did greet us on arrival and told us to pop over if we needed anything.

- Bradley Stables Oct 17

“Wow! What can I say, down to every detail Shaun's place was everything we had hoped for and more. Communication was excellent right from the start. We were very late getting there and it was so helpful having a light left on so we could find our way to the door. The directions given were excellent, if you do not follow the ones that Shaun sends you directly your will get lost! Shaun also went above and beyond and helped us plan our trips and also dropped us off a bottle of fizz as I couldn't contain my excitement that we had got engaged earlier in the day. This accommodation is everything you would expect from the description, lovely and peaceful, a beautiful area but still plenty to do if you are willing to go on short adventures in the car. Thank you for making our stay so lovely! I would highly recommend.

- Alice AirBNB Oct 17

Really loved the setting, the area of Wales, the tent, the cooking set up with a reliable gas stove and the fire pit. The hosts were friendly and informative, facilities clean and the beaches and towns amazing. You sometimes hear people say that the Welsh are not friendly - we found them exceptionally friendly and helpful. we all had a great time.

- Tim Pitchup  July 17

“ Liked: Place was so peaceful...toilets and showers spotless...belltent spotless...everything included that we needed I.e pots pans cutlery egg. Hosts were very helpful and accommodating.

Disliked: Nothing not to like here only tiny suggestion would be few extra pillows but it stated clearly how many there were before we booked so no fault of the place ”

Sloeberry Farm really do provide pretty much everything you need for a camping trip, and if you've forgot anything like wellies they even have some stuff they can lend you in emergencies! If you do visit I can guarantee you'll want to stay, we loved the ample space between tents so noise was never an issue! Plus the fact that it's not crowded means facilities stay much cleaner and no queues for showers and toilets.

— Dale,  may 2016

But our favourite was from the children ……The kids say... "The tent was big, round and pointy. I liked how they set up the wooden path to get into the tent. The toilet roll holder was a stick. The wind-break around the cooker was cool. The beds were really warm and comfy. The sound of the rain on the tent in the night-time. The shadows of the grass around tent in the morning were really lovely. The shadow of the slug on the tent was funny too. Running through the long grass and getting wet feet was fun. The cats and the dog were really happy and fluffy because the people who own them were happy and fluffy too." Maddie (7) & Ruby (4)
